✨ A Starry Night in Royal Blue: Creating for Beau Jangeaux

I recently had the pleasure of creating this bespoke beauty for the fabulous Beau Jangeaux who competed in Mx Burlesque Queensland 2026 and ended up placing as 2nd Runner-Up. 👏👗

Created in a beautiful royal blue colour scheme and dripping in AB crystals 💎, this costume shimmered like a star-filled night sky. 🌌✨

I don’t often get the chance to create really classic burlesque costumes these days, so it was an absolute joy to bring this one to life🌟. Although Beau performed in the Unique category, the silhouette and styling of this costume are some of the most classic pieces i’ve created in awhile, and I absolutely loved it! 💙💙

The ensemble included a fully adorned bra, underbust corset, thong, panel skirt, hairpiece, gloves and a gorgeous glittery mermaid skirt, which I’ve featured in the reel, even though it did not make it to the stage on the night😉. Too many pieces and not enough time to remove them all… but I have been told this show stopping piece will be making an appearance in an updated act soon, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

✨ Bringing Red Carpet Glamour to Centre Stage ⭐

Who says a dressing gown belongs only backstage?

At Mx Burlesque Queensland 2026, the ever-glamorous Suzie Chanteuse proved that a luxurious dressing gown can be every bit as captivating on stage. Wearing one of Intoxication Lingerie’s signature designs for the Red Carpet category, Suzie chose a striking crimson look that perfectly embodied old Hollywood glamour and elegance.

While many know me for my bespoke couture and costume creations, I am indeed also the designer and brain child behind Intoxication Lingerie—a ready-to-wear label created for performers/dancers, burlesque artists, pole dancers, and lovers of both contemporary & vintage glamour.

To make this piece even more spectacular, I customised the dressing gown by adding luxurious ostrich feather trim to the sleeves for extra lushness and movement. Suzie then added her own creative touch by adding rhinestones to the entire gown, transforming it into a dazzling stage-worthy statement piece. I absolutely love seeing clients make a design their own, and this collaboration was no exception.

A heartfelt thank you to Suzie for showcasing one of my designs with such creativity, confidence, and timeless beauty. Seeing this look come to life on stage was an absolute pleasure.

Backstage with Beau Jangeaux at Mx Burlesque Qld 2026

There's something incredibly special about seeing a bespoke design come to life under the stage lights. For this year's Mx Burlesque Queensland 2026, I had the pleasure of creating this sparkling royal blue costume for the wonderfully talented Beau Jangeaux for her Unique category performance.

Designed to shimmer from every angle, this custom creation combined bold colour, sparkling embellishment, and striking silhouettes to complement Beau's captivating stage presence. Watching the costume come to life backstage before its moment in the spotlight is one of the most rewarding parts of being a costume designer.

A huge congratulations to Beau on being awarded 2nd Runner-Up overall at Mx Burlesque Queensland 2026—an incredible achievement and so well deserved. It was an absolute privilege to play a small part in your journey and help bring your creative vision to life.

Enduring Elegance

There are some garments that hold a special place in your heart, and Enduring Elegance is one of mine.

I designed and hand-draped this gown several years ago using an exquisite, rustic embroidered lace I discovered during my travels through Europe. The moment I saw the fabric, I knew it deserved to become something truly special, and I've treasured it ever since.

As a lot of you are aware of, this creation is showcased on a mannequin in my Paddington Design Studio. So, when I attended this year's Mx Burlesque Queensland, I knew it was the perfect occasion to finally wear it. With its timeless silhouette, intricate lace detailing, and warm bronze tones, I couldn't help but feel a little inspired by the effortless glamour of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.

Then, when I discovered that the incredibly talented KTB Photography had a professional photo booth at the event. Well... there was no way I wasn't taking advantage of that! It was the perfect opportunity to capture this stunning beauty exactly as I'd always imagined.

As designers, we're usually busy creating for everyone else, so it's a rare treat to wear one of our own creations. Slipping into this gown reminded me why I fell in love with couture in the first place—the ability to transform beautiful fabrics into something that tells a story and makes you feel extraordinary.

Enduring Elegance is more than the name of this gown. It reflects the philosophy behind my work: creating timeless pieces that transcend trends and are treasured for years to come.

From Finalist to Winner: Haute Couture Hero – Best Creative

Just a few weeks after being announced as a finalist, I was incredibly honoured to receive the Haute Couture Hero – Best Creative award at the first ever Icon Burlesque Awards Queensland.

To be recognised by the burlesque community for doing something I genuinely love was both humbling and unexpected. Every commission that comes through Arnavaz Lindsay Couture is an opportunity to collaborate, challenge my creativity, and create something truly special for each client. Seeing those designs come to life on stage is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.

This award also belongs to the wonderful performers and clients who have trusted me with their ideas over the years. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your creative journey and for believing in my work.

Nominated as a Finalist for Haute Couture Hero – Best Creative at the Inaugural Icon Burlesque Awards Queensland 2026

Earlier this year, I was honoured to be named a finalist for Haute Couture Hero – Best Creative category at the very first Icon Burlesque Awards Queensland 2026.

Being recognised amongst so many talented creatives was an incredibly special moment. As a costume designer, much of what happens behind the scenes often goes unseen—the hours spent sketching concepts, drafting patterns, sourcing fabrics, fitting garments, and hand-finishing every detail. To have that work acknowledged by the burlesque community was both humbling and rewarding.

Arnavaz Lindsay Couture has always been about creating bespoke pieces that celebrate individuality and empower performers to step confidently into the spotlight. Whether it's a custom stage costume, couture gown, or one-of-a-kind corset, every garment is thoughtfully designed to bring each client's vision to life.

While this nomination was a wonderful personal milestone, it was also a reflection of the incredible clients who have trusted me with their ideas over the years. Your creativity and support continue to inspire every design I create.

A heartfelt thank you to The Bombshell Burlesque Academy and the Icon Burlesque Awards Queensland for recognising the creative talent within our industry. Congratulations to all of the finalists—I was truly honoured to be standing alongside such inspiring artists and designers.

The end of last year marked an exciting milestone for Arnavaz Lindsay Couture — I officially moved into a brand new studio, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome you into this next chapter.

This space is more than just a space. It’s a creative sanctuary where bespoke bridal gowns and show-stopping stagewear come to life — a place that finally feels like a true reflection of my brand, my process, and my vision.

A Space Designed for Creativity

Designed to feel inspiring, intimate, and luxurious without being intimidating, the studio is a place where clients feel comfortable, celebrated, and truly seen.

You’ll find:

• A dedicated fitting area designed for comfort and privacy

• A light-filled workspace perfect for sketching, sewing, and handwork

• Thoughtfully curated décor that reflects the romantic, theatrical, and couture nature of my designs — creating the perfect environment for consultations

• An in-house selection of ready-to-wear lingerie, ideal for stage, gifts, and/or boudoir

This will be the new home of Arnavaz Lindsay Couture — a place where each piece is dreamed, designed, and brought to life with care, creativity, and a touch of theatrical flair.

Even more exciting? My studio will be right beside The Bombshells Burlesque Academy — a vibrant hub of performers, energy, and inspiration. I feel like this is a match made in heaven!

Intoxication is launching a new made-to-order collection, and we’re thrilled to be bringing these exquisite pieces to life in our new studio. The collection includes smaller, playful designs that are perfect for mixing, matching, and enjoying lingerie crafted with care and attention to detail.

From November, Click & Collect will be available, where you can book a fitting to have your measurements taken for these made-to-order pieces. This ensures each item is perfectly tailored, while experiencing the signature style and craftsmanship that makes Intoxication so unique.
