SEWING FOR THE WILDLIFE VICTIMS OF THE AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRES

At Arnavaz Lindsay Couture we feel very strongly about supporting the wildlife victims of the recent horrendous Australian bushfires that has claimed so many precious lives. Besides contributing funding and medical supplies to some of the wildlife charities of Australia, we also wanted to be involved in a more hands on approach. Designer, Arnavaz Lindsay came across this crafty group on Facebook called the Animal Rescue Craft Guild. This group, which now consists of over 17, 000 members all across the world , is supporting a Brisbane based non-profit wildlife organisation, The Rescue Collective, by sewing pouches, koala mittens and bat wraps for the animals who are unwell, injured, burnt or motherless from these wide spread fires.

Such an absolutely devastating event, but it is amazing that through all this darkness how much love and care has gone into the making of these pouches, bat wraps and koala mittens to ensure these darlings are being kept warm and protected during their rehabilitation. We wanted to share with you some of the creature creations we have made so far and we will continue to make as long as they are required.
